Student Telephone Services

Phones & Voicemail:
Jacksonville University's telephone system runs on a Siemens HiPath 4050, and it provides phone service to the Residence Halls, Apartments, as well as the Academic and Support offices around campus.

JU also provides voicemail to Academic and Support offices, and to residents living in the Residence Halls and Apartments. Voicemail services run on Siemens Xpressions 4.0, which allows users to customize their boxes, and access voicemail directly from their room/office, or from off-site.

Phone Number Assignment and Calling Capabilities
Phone numbers distributed to residents at the beginning of the semester by the Residence Life Office. Each number is assigned according to its room number, so if you move to another room, your phone number will change.

Residents living in the Residence Halls and Apartments have unlimited calls for internal calls, 800 numbers, and local calls. Long distance calls can only be made with calling cards.
